The following manual describes how to create an additional @chello.at e-mail address at Magenta Austria. (formerly UPC)

To begin with, please make sure that you have already registered for the Magenta customer portal, “My Magenta.” This account is required for you to be able to create your new e-mail account.


Open your web browser and navigate to Magenta Telekom’s homepage. There are three symbols on the upper right corner of the website: Webmail, a shopping cart, and the customer portal:

Click on the icon for the customer portal (“Kundenportal”) to get to the “My Magenta” – Login page. There you can log into your account using the button “Jetzt einloggen.” You will be prompted to choose between “Mobile” and “Kabel/Festnetz.” Please select the latter.

You will automatically be forwarded to a login window, where you can enter your user name and password for your “My Magenta” Account. Enter your personal login information and click on “Anmelden.”

Click on the menu item called “Meine Einstellungen” located in the upper menu bar in “My Magenta.” Go to “Service Center & E-Mail Einstellungen.”

All of your active e-mail accounts are now listed in the section called “E-Mail Einstellungen.”

To create your new Chello email address, click on the link called “E-Mail Postfach hinzufügen.” Now you are able to choose and enter your new email address as well as your password. Click on “E-Mail hinzufügen” to finish.

Congratulations! Your new e-mail account has been successfully added to your primary customer account and is ready to use. Just go ahead and navigate to “Magenta Webmail.” Furthermore, you are now able to configure your local e-mail clients (e.g., Outlook, Thunderbird, Apple Mail, etc.) using your new e-mail address.
